Wahala no dey ever finish for social media! The internet streets of Nigeria have literally caught fire once again, and this time, it involves two of the biggest heavyweights in the African music industry, Davido and Wizkid.
If you thought the timeline was going to be calm this week, think again. The Davido APC saga has taken over digital spaces, leaving fans, stans, and critics at each other’s throats across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok.
How The Whole Drama Started
It all began when the DMW boss found himself dragged into a massive political storm concerning the ruling party, the APC. Social media users and opposing political fans didn’t hold back, calling out the singer and demanding explanations over alleged affiliations and recent moves.
As the timeline went up in flames with hot takes, cancellation threads, and heated arguments, the internet’s favorite trouble-causer, Wizkid, decided to add fuel to the fire without even saying a single word.
Wizkid’s Shady Meme Drops
Just when the heat was reaching boiling point, Starboy Wizkid hopped onto his socials to drop a heavily cryptic, hilarious meme. While Machala didn’t explicitly mention any names, netizens were quick to connect the dots, claiming the post was a subtle shade directed straight at his perennial rival.
‘The cruise is personal at this point,’ one tweep wrote. Another fan posted, ‘Wizkid doesn’t even need to write an essay. One picture and the whole internet is shaking!’
Netizens React To The Chaos
As expected, the 30BG camp and Wizkid FC have clashed in what can only be described as a digital war zone. Memes are flying, receipts are being dragged out of the archives, and the timeline has officially refused to breathe.
Will Davido drop a direct response to the heavy backlash, or will he maintain his usual luxury silence? One thing is certain: Nigerian pop culture gossip never sleeps, and we are seated with our popcorn to watch how this premium drama unfolds!
