Total wahala has officially landed on the timeline once again, and this time, popular indigenous comedian Woli Agba is sitting right at the hot seat of premium internet dragging!
Social media streets have been buzzing with raw anger after the clergyman-turn-comedian was spotted living his best life and partying hard at a high-profile event in Ibadan, just a shocking 48 hours after the devastating death of fast-rising gospel sensation Toluwanisings shook the Nigerian entertainment industry to its core.
The Timeline Goes Up in Flames Over Woli Agba Party Backlash
As expected, the Woli Agba party backlash hit cyberspace like a wild harmattan fire. Netizens and ardent fans of the late singer flooded various platforms with fiery comments, questioning the comedian’s empathy and asking how he could pull up to a loud owambe celebration while the entire gospel and creative community was still mourning such a painful, premature loss.
Videos from the Ibadan event quickly went viral, showing the skit maker all smiles, hyperbolic energy, and living large. For many fans, the timing was nothing short of insensitive, triggering a massive wave of online condemnation that has refused to slow down.
Mixed Reactions Trail the Ibadan Showdown
While a few loyal defenders have stepped forward to argue that life must go on and public figures are entitled to honor prior business commitments or personal engagements, the majority are having none of it. Critics insist that cultural norms and basic human decency demand a brief moment of solemn silence, especially given the tight-knit nature of the Nigerian entertainment and gospel space.
As the noise continues to amplify across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, all eyes are waiting to see if the comic heavyweight will drop an official statement to clear the air or simply allow the digital storm to pass. One thing is certain: the internet never forgets, and this Woli Agba party backlash is definitely going to stick around for a very long time!
